  8. This version is for MC68020/Kickstart 3.0 and higher. A MC68000/kickstart 2.0

  11. AmiComSys is a program that you use to communicate with other people on
  12. a tcp/ip-net - e.g Internet. At the same time it make it easier to find
  13. people's IP-addresses, for use with Internet games, and home pages.

  15. It uses AMarquee.library by Jeremy Friesner & Håkan Parting for most of
  16. it's network handling.
  17.  
  18. Now you can say "Hello!" to your friends on the net, or just see if they are
  19. online.

  100. The message requesters now uses MUI instead of Gadtools. This means
  101. that all AmiComSys's windows now have a similar layout. Those of you who like
  102. the GadTools variant, that have been of use in AmiComSys since version 1.12 and
  103. there fore is well tested, don't need to worry. You can switch between the
  104. two variants by changing the option "Use MUI requester" on the Windows-page-Message
  105. Requester-tab in the general settings.

  107. SendFile will now ask if it shall overwrite an existing file or resume
  108. transmission.

  110. The SendFile now has two CPS-counters(kbytes/sec.).

  112. Added Sound settings page. AmiComSys will now play sounds on several occasions.

  114. Relayouted the main window. The toolbars are inside scrollers, that
  115. disappear when they are not needed. The message text field is in a popup
  116. window, which will open if you click the 'New' button.

  118. The HideIP feature is now available for anyone, both registered and
  119. unregistered users. I changed this to prevent people to find ip-addresses,
  120. to flood, with AmiComSys. This feature is enabled by default. To turn it off go
  121. to the network settings page.

  123. Implemented Multi-Select in ClientList (so now it's possible to send normal
  124. messages to a multiple number of clients).

  126. Reworked Message History. Now the text is saved in the directory PROGDIR:mhistory
  127. and pages is loaded dynamicly.
  128. The result is much faster startup and exit of AmiComSys, offline, and closing of MH Window.

  131. The images were modified, so please reinstall them. The installer will do
  132. it automatically for you.

  134. The client list is cleared when the program goes offline.

  136. The hotkey now only iconify the main window if it is in activated state.
  137. The window will appear at the front if it's not already activated. Just press
  138. the hot key again, while the window is activated to iconify it.

  145. The PChat chat lines are now also inserted to the Message History. You may

  177. 'Snapshotable requesters' added to the Windows->Message requesters settings
  178. page. Normally AmiComSys would decide the size and position of the message
  179. requesters. But if you aren't satisfied with message requester sizes that
  180. AmiComSys decides maybe you should check this one. Then you are able to
  181. snapshot the windows like any other MUI-window.

  185. BUGFIXES:
  186. Freed memory that were not allocated or NULL pointer while adding a user
  187. to the Ignore List.
  188.  
  189. When the entire application was iconified and then opened with the
  190. commodities Exchange Show-command, the window opened, but the icon did
  191. not disappear from the Workbench.
  192.  
  193. The refreshing trouble, caused by a MUI-bug with MUIA_ShowMe,FALSE,
  194. which exists only in simple refresh windows have now been worked around.
  195. In the AmiComSys FAQ you were told to switch to smart refresh and redraw
  196. with clear, when you had problems with overwritten window borders at the right
  197. and bottom of the main window and the PChat window.
  198. You could now switch them back to 'Simple refresh' and
  199. 'redraw without clear' without any trouble.
  200.  
  201. The window spacing will now directly get its user preferred default
  202. size after a change in the MUI-prefs. This is the four areas of the main
  203. window that show a rubber band if you drag a toolbar or another part of
  204. the GUI on them. If you drag & drop a GUI-object into one of these areas
  205. that object will move to the new position.

  207. SendFile SavePath in the misc-settings was not saved.
  208.  
  209. It was not possible to turn off "send confirmation" for the return key in the
  210. message requester. (This should only be possible for registered users.)

  213. The events requesters, "User connected" and "User disconnected" showed host name
  214. 'Privacy' even though the user was not hiding his or her host name.

  216. Removed garbage characters from the message inserted to the compose window,
  217. when you press the email button in a Message Center message requester.
